Group 4: What do you like most about Jamestown ES?

We like that lots of our friends go here and also our brothers and sisters. You can make really good friends here. You can have fun doing the activities at school. Our families take us outside our school after school. You can play and have fun on teh playground playing all sorts of games. You can also make up games at our school. You can draw pictures. We can learn about a lot of stuff at school. We have fun in open centers. We can have fun on the playground.

Group 3: What do you like most about Jamestown ES?

We like PE because we love to do the games. We love the computer lab because there are different games to play. We like art because we make different things. We have lots of friends at Jamestown. We like the mystery readers that come in silly. We like open centers because we can choose what we want to do. We like literacy centers because we get to work hard and learn to read stuff. We like Spanish because we get to learn a different language. When we come in we have different work everyday. We like to do sight word bingo. We like our gecko Spots because get to hold him and he is cute! We like everything! We like Jamestown because we learn how to read. We like Jamestown because we get to go to the library. We like recess because we get to play and run around. We like our classroom because people come to look at us.

Group 2: What do you like most about Jamestown ES?

We love Spots our class pet. We like the garden. We like the playground because we can play on it and it never goes apart. We like PE, we like specials, we like to do a lot of fun stuff that involves writing. We like Jamestown because we do fun stuff in art. We like Spanish because we do lots of stuff. We like the pictures that we draw. We like having fun. Jamestown Elementary School is the best school in the world! We like to say the Pledge of Allegiance. We love the mystery reads that come into our class to read. We like our school because it is really cool! We like to go to the computer lab.

We like PE because we run and we do jump ropes and fun stuff. We have a big computer lab. We like it because we have friends in every class. We like that we have a park at Jamestown. We like Jamestown because we get to learn. We love our garden in the back of the school. We get to slide down the slides on the playground. We like to do lego digital designer. We like writing workshop. Our school ROCKS! We do Spanish to learn another language. We have a lot of shade from the trees. We have monkey bars at the playground. We like when our parents volunteer for literacy centers and all those other specials.

Monument Tour 2009

The Super Kinders took a tour of the Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. We studied the four coins and their values. Students were able identify which monument went with each coin and will make a book next week to complete our unit of study. Enjoy our slide show!

I am so sorry I missed our Halloween celebration because I was sick. I heard so many great things about your costumes I decided to take a picture of me in my costume and wanted to see if you could guess who I am. To make this fun I will give you three clues. A castle for Spots

We made a castle for Spots. We wanted him top be the king of the world. We worked together to make the castle for him. We think he liked it very much. We put him in the castle and he crawled around inside of it. We had fun! G and M

Kindergarten Sing-a-long

Today the entire kindergarten got together for a sing-a-long. We were able to share our special birthday with out friends. We also learned a song from the others classes. We had a great time!

First day of school!

The Super Kinders had a very successful 1st day of school. Students were engaged in learning as soon as they got to school and were very happy throughout the day. We look forward to sharing our blog with you this year.
